Hello, my name is Joquita. I became a blogger because of my two kids. Before blogging, I worked at a 9-5 for ten years and didn’t have much time for my family. When I had my first son, I realized I needed to make a change to give him a better life – not just by providing for him financially but by spending more time with him.

So I started with my first passion, drawing. I had been drawing since I was a little girl but stopped when I became an adult and let the daily stress of life take over. Eventually, I tried to start drawing again as an adult. It was going great for a while until I had my second son. Once again, my art took a back seat. But when I was pregnant with my second son, I discovered my passion for writing – something I used to do when I was younger, primarily in poems.

But I decided to give blogging a shot. I didn’t know much about blogging when I started; I was learning as I went. And I knew that I wanted to write about something I knew about, so I decided to write about the decades I grew up in, the 80s and 90s.

As I rediscovered my dreams, my loving husband supported everything I did. And while I’m not where I want to be just yet with my blog, I’m grateful for the progress I’ve made. And I want everyone reading this to know that it’s never too late to go after your dream. Sometimes you have to put your dreams on hold because of life, but never stop chasing them.
