Meet Joquita Blanco
If the sound of a VHS tape rewinding is basically your happy place, if you still remember Oregon Trail panic, and if movie soundtracks from back then still hit different, you are in the right place.

My story
I am Joquita Blanco, and the 80s were not just some retro fad on a t-shirt for me. It was my actual childhood. The music, the movies, the toys, the questionable fashion choices, the Saturday mornings, the mall memories, the cassette tapes, and the whole colorful mess of it all shaped me.
I started 80s Baby because I got tired of websites that only listed old toys without any soul. I wanted to talk about why this stuff still matters to us. Why do we still get emotional over The Goonies? Why does one synth intro send us straight back to a school dance, a bedroom floor, or a car ride with the radio turned all the way up?
This site is my little corner of the internet for figuring that out together. It is part memory lane, part party guide, part love letter to the decade that made us.
Over time, this passion project became something bigger. I now use this space to connect with other 80s babies, Gen Xers, Millennials, nostalgic parents, party planners, and brands that want to reach our generation without sounding fake or cheesy.
So that is me. Look around, read a few posts, grab the free printable, and if you are working on a project that needs someone who genuinely gets the 80s, I am your person.
80s nostalgia, fashion, music, movies, toys, tech, party ideas, trivia, and the memories that still make us smile.
People who lived it, loved it, miss it, or want to bring that retro feeling into parties, family nights, and everyday fun.
Whether you came for one memory or stayed for the whole rewind, welcome to 80s Baby.
